Is a Yamaha 6000 Series Trumpet a good gift?
I'm buying my guy a trumpet for his birthday. He used to play but gave it up about 20 years ago and I know he's interested in starting again. He knows I'm looking and said to get a used one -- said I could pick up a "student" horn in a pawn shop.
Well, there's a lot more than "student" horns available online. I've seen ads for a Yamaha 6000 series trumpet, which I've read is an "orchestral" trumpet. Is this a good type of trumpet to get for him? What else should I look for? Any suggestions?
