I'm overweight please help?

1. Running is hard, yes. Sometimes just convincing yourself to go out and run is the hardest part. Running probably isn't the best thing for you to be doing right now. Start easy: Walk 2 miles a day. Make it something enjoyable. Something that you know you can do and not dread every day or make excuses to why you should skip doing it every day. This will allow you to make exercising enjoyable and help you build muscle, endurance and a healthy exercise schedule. Listen to music and walk somewhere really scenic if possible. As you work on it more, you can add in some jogging. Enjoy it!

2. Drink LOTS of water! Water is incredibly important for you body. Your body is like a garbage disposal. I know, that sounds weird. Think about what its like to try and flush a bunch of dry food down a garbage disposal. Its really hard. Add water to it, and it slides down the sink much easier. Water is essential for your cells to perform functions that help you lose weight, plus it gives you energy and makes your skin look good.

3. When you get hungry, take what you would normally eat, and half it. Drink a liter of water. Often times your body confuses hunger with thirst. If you're still hungry after all the water, go ahead and eat the other half. Don't deprive your body of food if its hungry, but use water as a buffer.

4. Often times, people turn to food when they're bored. A good tip to battle this is that when you know you shouldn't be hungry but you want to eat, do something that is good for your body. Go for a walk. Take a long shower. Pamper yourself.

5. Eat healthy. Don't starve yourself because your body needs nutrients to help break down the fat. Eat foods that are filling and provide you with healthy energy like oatmeal and lean sandwiches and avoid lots of sugary foods.

This has worked wonders for me and makes my body feel so much better. I hope it works for you! Don't torture yourself into being healthy because then you won't be likely to keep up with it.
