Trumpet Valve
Why won't this trumpet valve work?
I found a trumpet in my grandparents' garage, years old but it had barely been used. I gave it a proper bath and cleaned it out properly but the third valve won't properly go past 2/3rds of the way in. You can force it, but it isn't near playable at the moment. I've oiled it well and there doesn't seem to be anything blocking it. The other valves work fine. Any ideas?
