Tenor Sax
How different are the alto and tenor sax to play.?
My son just joined band this year and he wants to play the tenor sax, his teacher told my son that he wants him to play the Alto Sax instead. The teacher says there is little more difference other than the tones between the two. If my son plays the alto will he be able to play the tenor easily, what is the biggest difference between the two of them?
The alto is in the key of C while the tenor is in Bb. They're the exact same instrument when it comes to actually playing.
