Silver Trumpets
Brass or silver trumpets?
I'm trying to choose between a brass Bach Stradivarius from the 1960s that was recently completely overhauled and a new silver B&S Challenger. Both are professional models that are easy for me to play. I'm an amateur player who primarily performs jazzy church music in a group of about 10-15 people with at most two other trumpets. Which is more versatile: silver or brass?
I am unable to play them side-by-side.
To me it do's not mater playing wise or even color wise. But I do prefer the Silver because the brass leaves a really bad taste in my mouth so really it is up to you and what you prefer. Good Luck in making your choice!
