When some one is mentally ill, do you tell them or Play Along ?
I can't explain everything but it's my mum, i know not to play along to her hullucinations. But she just thinks stuff i tell her it's not correct but should i treat her like she totally wrong and mentally ill. Or that she could be right and it's a possibility? I'm 21 and she seriously turned mentally ill over night, this happened a week ago. She doesn't want to go doctors. And my family know. But i live alone with her at the moment.
sometimes a simple infection, can give the appearance of being deluded. (like a water infection).
did something significant happen last week before this started? i personally wouldnt play along with it, especially if your that concerned. i would call the doctor out to her. try talking further to her and in greater depth, express your concerns and see what she says.
