Marching Mellophone
Switching from flute to mellophone for marching band?
I'm a senior in highschool right now and I love marching band,
so much so that I want to join a band in college.
But the band I want to go to doesn't have flutes and I kinda want to try the mellophone since I heard it's a fairly easy switch.
I need some advice as to how I should start learning this new instrument...I have about 8months until auditions.
Is this possible or should I try another instrument?

i suggest you try saxaphone it's an easy transition from flute.Alot of flute players in my marching band switched from flute to sax and said it was fairly easy
