Brass Marching
Switching from woodwind to low brass?
I'm considering switching from Tenor Sax to a low brass instrument in marching band. How difficult would it be to transition from saxophone to a marching baritone horn if given 4 months to start learning? Anyone have any personal stories or experienced switching from woodwind to low brass in marching band?
I know my sister moved from clarinet to marching french horn her freshman year of High School...it was hard but with help and a lot of practice she figured it out. obviously you know music so it's not like starting completely over. i'm sure you can do it!! i think 4 months is plenty of time to learn!! good luck
